We are recruiting a Chief Engineer (M/F) to join our teams at our towage company based in Sète.

You must live in Sète or within a 3-hour radius.

Assistance with relocation may be available

Reporting to the Captain, you will head the Engine Department and be responsible for ensuring the immediate availability of the engine and other ship’s machinery, as well as for their preventive and corrective maintenance. You will be in charge of the on-board CMMS and the winch during operations.

Your main responsibilities:

You will carry out maintenance and general servicing of the engine and other ship’s machinery.
You will work in collaboration with the shipping company’s superintendents.
You will help to develop, monitor and maintain a stock of necessary, sensitive and critical spare parts on board.
You will be responsible for the operation of deck machinery (cranes, winches, etc.)

Attention to detail

Your qualifications and certificates:

Chief Engineer’s Certificate for 8,000 kW or unlimited class
STCW certificates (CFBS, CAEERS, CQALI)
