Maritime Engineering – Careers

Description

ENSM trains engineers in 2 specialities (seagoing and maritime engineering) on 3 campuses (Marseille, Le Havre and Nantes) with a view to awarding the ENSM engineering diploma, accredited by the Engineer Title Commission (Commission des titres d’ingénieur, CTI), and the Master’s degree.

The maritime engineering specialisation trains students for the following professions

  • Superintendent
  • Energy transition engineer for a shipping company or shipyard,
  • Lead engineer for a classification society,
  • Project engineer or maritime coordinator for a classification society,
  • Project engineer or marine coordinator for an offshore wind farm,
  • Engineer in charge of the operation and maintenance of offshore installations,
  • Consulting engineer.

The "Maritime Engineering" Specialisation

The “maritime engineering” specialisation is divided into two tracks:

  • EGN Ship Eco-Management
  • DMO Deployment and Maintenance of Offshore Systems
