ADVANCED TRAINING CERTIFICATE FOR SERVICE ON VESSELS SUBJECT TO THE IGF CODE

AUDIENCE CONCERNED

Masters, engineer officers and all personnel directly responsible for the precautions to be taken with respect to fuels and fuel systems on board vessels subject to the IGF Code and the use of those fuels and fuel systems fuel.

PREREQUISITES

Basic training certification in cargo operations of liquefied gas tankers.

Hold a seafarer’s doctor’s certificate stating seaworthiness less than 12 months old

OBJECTIVES

– Be familiar with the physical and chemical properties of fuels on board vessels subject to the IGF Code
– Operate propulsion fuel controls, engine systems and services, and safety devices on board ships
– Be able to safely perform and monitor all fuel operations
– Plan and control fuel bunkering, storage, storage and securing safely
– Take precautions to prevent environmental pollution from fuel spills
– Monitor and monitor compliance
– Take precautions and apply health and safety measures
– Prevent, control and fight fires and use fire extinguishing devices

36 hours (30h theory + 6h simulator)

The training certificates are dematerialized, and accessible directly on your sailor portal as soon as the successful follow-up of the training.
These certificates have a validity of 12 months, period allowing you, via the appropriate CERFA, to renew your certificates with Maritime Affairs.
