Your role:

As part of the development of our fleet, we are looking for a Ship Captain to ensure smooth sailing and operation. You will be responsible for navigation, crew management and safety on board.

Main tasks:

Navigation and manoeuvring: Ensure the safe operation of the ship, taking into account weather and sea conditions.

Crew management: Supervise crew members, organise shifts and ensure that working hours are respected.

Safety on board: Ensure the safety of the vessel, crew and passengers by implementing emergency procedures and organising regular drills.

Commercial operations: Ensure that operations run smoothly, schedules are adhered to and customers are satisfied.

Maintenance and servicing: Ensure that the vessel is in good working order, in collaboration with the chief engineer.

Communication: Maintain fluid communication with the head office in Le Havre and local teams.

Profile:

Training: Captain 3000 UMS or unlimited, with all STCW certificates and licences up to date.
Experience: Minimum 2 years as Captain, good command of ISM.
Languages: Fluency in English, both spoken and written.

Specific skills:

Good knowledge of sailing/routing. Competitive sailing experience appreciated.

Experience in intercultural communication and managing international teams.

Knowledge of issues related to energy transition and carbon footprint reduction is a plus.
