A leading player in its field, STAPEM OFFSHORE provides technical support for marine and subsea operations, as well as the maintenance of offshore installations for the oil and gas industry. STAPEM OFFSHORE has been operating primarily in Angola for over 30 years, as well as in Senegal and the Middle East, notably in Qatar.

As part of our business expansion, we are seeking a Fleet & Technical Superintendent (m/f) whose primary remit will initially cover two Damen Fast Crew Supplier 2610 (engines: 2x Caterpillar C32 TTA B) based in Senegal and 1 Offshore Support Vessel & 2 Offshore Diving Support Catamarans (propulsion: 2x HamiltonJet Hj403) based in Angola. The number of vessels in the fleet is set to grow in the coming months and years.

The main role is to ensure that the vessels, their classification and flag comply with international and local regulations, as well as the company’s and clients’ standards. To guarantee the safety, operational performance and reliability of the vessels whilst optimising operating costs.
This is achieved through:
– regulatory compliance and safety;
– operational support;
– maintenance and repairs;
– crew management;
– budget control;
– reporting and performance monitoring.

Profile:
First or Second Class Merchant Navy Officer’s Certificate or Naval Engineer’s Qualification
In-depth knowledge of international maritime regulations
Expertise in ship maintenance and dry-dock management
Proficiency in fleet management software (Mastex)
Bilingual in French and fluent in English
At least 5 years’ experience as Chief Engineer or Second Engineer (preferably on a DP vessel) or in a similar role ashore (Superintendent, Technical Manager, etc.).
Certification in DP system maintenance is an advantage.
Experience in the oil and gas sector and/or diving support would be an advantage.
Experience with vessels such as the Damen Fast Crew Supplier 2610 or DSV/ODSC with jet propulsion, or equivalent, is a plus.

The rotation schedule is 5 weeks’ work followed by 5 weeks’ time off.

The role is based in Luanda (Angola) and involves frequent travel for on-board visits or to supervise work.
Start date: 3rd quarter of 2026.
