To support the development of offshore wind energy, ENSM is offering high-quality training that familiarises trainees with the risks and hazards of working in the wind industry. This GWO Basic Safety Training course is designed for people working in the wind energy sector, both onshore and offshore.

The ENSM offers a course in a friendly atmosphere, thanks to its expertise and an environment perfectly suited to working conditions. Accompanied by experienced instructors, trainees benefit from new infrastructure that complies with the latest standards, and are put through their paces in real-life conditions during exercises at sea in the basins of the port of Saint-Malo on the ENSM Césame site.

Course location

The course takes place at CESAME in Saint Malo.

The ENSM’s Centre de Formation à la Survie et au Sauvetage en Mer (CESAME) is an educational tool for training in abandonment, survival at sea and rescue in accordance with the STCW Convention.

Located in the docks of the port of Saint-Malo, the centre is unique in France. It is equipped with a free-fall boat and a fire simulator. It makes its skills available to companies for crew training, allowing trainees to practise in real-life conditions during exercises at sea.

PUBLIC CONCERNED

Anyone required to work on a wind farm or anyone else wishing to qualify for the GWO TSB standard.

PREREQUISITES

– No medical contraindication to wearing a harness and working at height.

– WINDA registration: Prior to the course, the trainee must be registered on the GWO WINDA platform (globalwindsafety.fr) and provide the centre with their login details by the 1st day of the course at the latest, so that their certificate can be registered and validated.

OBJECTIVES

Acquire the work practices required to work safely in a wind farm environment, based on the GWO standards.
