The École Nationale Supérieure Maritime (ENSM) is pleased to announce a lecture entitled “Les hommes d’équipage” by the sculptor Cécile Raynal.
In April, May and June 2012, the sculptor Cécile Raynal spent three Europe–West Indies voyages aboard the Fort-Saint-Pierre, a container ship operated by CMA-CGM.
Over the course of these 90 days, the artist created sculpted portraits of the men and women of the crew. Upon her return to shore, she produced a series of sculptures based on the portraits and the sailors’ stories.
