Le Havre is welcoming a giant of the seas this week: the CMA CGM NOTRE DAME!

This Thursday, the CMA CGM Group will christen the NOTRE DAME, the largest container ship flying the French flag. It has completed its maiden voyage between Asia and Europe with its very first crew.

The first of ten new-generation container ships, this vessel truly lives up to its name as a giant, measuring nearly 400 meters in length and capable of carrying no fewer than 24,000 containers… weighing 107,000 metric tons itself and transporting 170,000 metric tons of cargo!

Powered by Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), CMA CGM notes that the group is a pioneer in the use of LNG. This positions it as a less polluting solution and a step toward climate transition.

The NOTRE DAME arrived yesterday in Le Havre and will remain docked at the France Port 2000 Terminal until Friday, July 4.

The ENSM is delighted to be present at the christening of the largest container ship flying the French flag, the CMA CGM NOTRE DAME!

Don’t miss this historic arrival! ⚓
