The sailboat is now heading for the Azores before crossing the Bay of Biscay and sailing to Brittany, where it will arrive at Aber Wrac’h, the ship’s home port, on August 4, 2026.
Fair winds and smooth seas!

Nicolas Quentin and Jérôme Gaboriau, former professional sailors and instructors at the ENSM campus in Saint-Malo, are leading the Haler au Boute project.

Aboard the training sailboat Bel Espoir 2, owned by the AJD Association, 26 people from diverse backgrounds—students, teachers, young and old, sailors, and people with disabilities—are crossing the North Atlantic. Through the Mario et Mimo Association, the goal is to raise funds that will be donated in full to the following organizations: the Quebec Adaptive Sailing Association and Team Vent Debout.

“Haler au Boute is much more than just a crossing. It’s a human adventure, a school of life, and a shared message of hope: As long as there’s wind, anything is possible.”
