One Ocean Summit 2022

An event dedicated to the Ocean

The “One Ocean Summit” will be held in Brest from February 9 to 11, 2022, as part of the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union, organized with the support of the United Nations.
The objective of the One Ocean Summit is to raise the level of ambition of the international community on maritime issues and to translate our shared responsibility for the Ocean into concrete actions.

A summit in two parts:

February 09 and 10:
Over two days, more than thirty events, workshops, forums, meetings and initiatives will be held prior to the high-level segment, to mobilize the international maritime community. They will cover a multitude of themes to address the ocean in all its dimensions and bring solutions.

February 11:
In the morning of February 11, President Emmanuel Macron will bring together heads of state and government, heads of multilateral institutions, business leaders, and decision-makers from civil society to make commitments. Several initiatives will be launched on this occasion for the protection of marine ecosystems and sustainable fisheries, the fight against pollution, especially plastic, the response to the effects of climate change and to promote better governance of the oceans.
