Practical training :

Image setting and maintenance
Data display
Route planning
Route monitoring
Alarm handling
Recording and managing trip data (logbook)
Correcting official data (updating)
Practical use of ECDIS when connected to radar/ARPA
Practical use of ECDIS when connected to AIS
Operational tests of the system (navigation in open, restricted and DST waters, anchoring, degraded mode, use of the RADAR and APRA functions of the ECDIS).
