ENSM recruits teachers throughout the year at its sites in Le Havre, Saint-Malo, Nantes and Marseille, Havre, Saint-Malo, Nantes et Marseille, to train merchant navy officers and marine engineers. Depending on your future career plans, you can progress to management positions.

Your integration into these new roles will be facilitated by the availability of documentary resources, the organisation of a tutorial with an experienced peer and the possibility of being coached individually by an educational engineer.

Whether you want to pursue a career ashore, opting for teaching for a few years or many more, or you want to pass on your knowledge and experience while continuing your career, there’s bound to be the right package for you.
Sailors can ask to be seconded for a few years to teach at ENSM, while retaining their status as sailors (details here).
Conditions of employment
- Remuneration depends on your professional experience and can be reviewed every 3 years. Example: 12 years’ experience after the DESMM = €3,000 net / month. Send your CV for a personalised study.
- ENIM membership, subject to conditions.
- 300 hours of face-to-face teaching in the 1st year.
- Timetable based on school periods.
