DTM, a subsidiary of Heidelberg Materials, operates two sand dredgers used for extracting marine aggregates. These sand dredgers are self-loading and self-unloading vessels. Maritime transport remains the main activity of sand carriers operating on the western coast of France, given the distance between authorized deposits and unloading ports.

Job description:
The multi-skilled officer assists both the captain in the operation of the ship and the chief engineer in the maintenance of the ship.
Responsible for the watch at sea and dredging and unloading operations in conjunction with the captain and first mate, he participates in maneuvers.
He ensures that nautical documents are kept up to date and in order.
He assists the chief engineer outside of watch and rest hours, and oversees repairs and maintenance of the engines.

Required skills:
– Unlimited multi-skilled officer’s certificate.
– Up-to-date STCW certificates.
– Medical fitness for seafarers.
– Proficiency in on-board firefighting and detection equipment.
– Rigorous, adaptable, good interpersonal skills, open-minded and organized.
– Proficiency in the Safety Management System.
– Autonomy.

Contract:
– Permanent or fixed-term contract.
– First register flag.
– Rotations: 7 days on board/7 days off (Tuesday to Tuesday) + 5.5 days off per month, relief crew at the port of La Rochelle.
– Embarkation under ENIM 10th category.
– Attractive salary.
– Partial transfer of seniority (2/3).
– French shipowner agreement.
