TECHNICAL FLEET SUPERINTENDENT

A major player in its field

STAPEM OFFSHORE provides marine and subsea technical support as well as maintenance for offshore installations in the oil and gas industry. The company has been operating primarily in Angola for more than 30 years, as well as in Senegal and the Middle East, notably in Qatar.

We are currently looking for a Fleet Technical Superintendent (M/F) whose main scope will initially cover:

  • 2 Damen Fast Crew Supplier 2610 vessels (engines: 2× Caterpillar C32 TTA B) based in Senegal

  • 1 Offshore Support Vessel

  • 2 Offshore Diving Support Catamarans (propulsion: 2× HamiltonJet HJ403) based in Angola

Secondarily, the position will also oversee 1 chartered vessel, the support vessel “Komodo.”


Main responsibilities

The primary role is to ensure vessel compliance, including class and flag state requirements, in accordance with international and local regulations as well as company and client standards.

The objective is to guarantee safety, operational performance, and vessel reliability, while optimizing operating costs.

This includes responsibilities such as:

  • Regulatory compliance and safety

  • Operational support

  • Maintenance and repairs

  • Crew management

  • Budget control

  • Reporting and performance monitoring


Profile

  • Merchant Navy Officer certification (1st or 2nd class) or Naval Engineering degree

  • In-depth knowledge of international maritime regulations

  • Expertise in vessel maintenance and dry-dock/technical shutdown management

  • Proficiency in fleet management software (Mastex)

  • Fluent French and good command of English

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Merchant Navy Officer or in a similar shore-based role (Superintendent, Technical Manager, etc.)

  • Experience in the Oil & Gas sector and/or diving support operations would be appreciated

  • Experience with Damen Fast Crew Supplier 2610 vessels, DSV / ODSC vessels with jet propulsion, or equivalent vessels would be a plus


Additional information

  • Rotation schedule: 5 weeks on / 5 weeks off

  • Location: Luanda, Angola

  • Frequent travel required for onboard inspections or supervision of work
