Embarkation aboard the Polaris I, on a 2-month/2-month rotation, under the RIF flag, ENIM. The position is open to multi-skilled officers. Fixed-term contract with the possibility of becoming permanent. Potential for promotion to captain.
Your duties on board as second engineer:

Responsible for engine maintenance according to schedules and keeping records up to date. Blackstone ERS8 main engine, 3 Perkins generators.
Responsible for safety testing and maintenance.
Bridge watch officer during navigation.
Mooring and docking manoeuvres, on the captain’s orders.
Participates in keeping the various logbooks, in conjunction with the captain.
Responsible for launching/retrieving boats and boarding equipment.
Manages passenger boarding/disembarkation in zodiacs.
Responsible for spare parts inventories, orders and stock updates.
Contributes to maintaining the ship in good general condition (general cleanliness, etc.).
