PRESENTATION OF THE COMPANY

The Compagnie Maritime des Iles is based in Noumea, New Caledonia, and operates a 64m LTC, the M/V ISAN, equipped for International Cabotage, which sails by the week between the mainland and the Loyalty Islands. It carries bulk cargo, containers, vehicles and/or Cl2 and Cl3 hydrocarbons.
The Company is expanding with a 2nd LTC vessel planned for the end of 2025.
The Company is recruiting 2 Machine Officers (M/F).

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Engine Officer is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the ship’s equipment under the direct authority of the Chief Engineer and the Captain. He/she will work closely with the deck department to carry out his/her duties.
Position based in Noumea.
Sailing schedule: weekly coastal navigation requiring you to settle in NC, embarkation according to the shipowner’s schedule (14/14, 4/3 depending on the Company’s activity and development)
The working language is French.
Open-ended contract – ENIM 10 – Payment of passage and accommodation at the beginning of the stay

PROFILE SOUGHT

OCQM up to date with certification: OCQM, CFBS, CAEERS, CQALI, CFSS and medical aptitude
Persons with significant experience as a Mechanic Officer
Rigour, autonomy and motivation are the qualities expected for this position.
