Presentation of SOMECA:

SOMECA transports cement between Corsica and the mainland. It operates the Capo Nero and Capo Cinto cement vessels. SOMECA is a subsidiary of the SOGESTRAN Group, the French leader in river transport, and is managed by the MARITIMA shipping company.

Profile required :

– Machine shift supervisor certificate
– CFBS, CQALI, CAEERS, MEDICAL 2, SSO
Working conditions :
– Open-ended contract
– ENIM regime under RIF
-Vessel with 100% French crew
– International coastal shipping
– Position available immediately

Your profile:
We are looking for a licensed engine watch officer (minimum), ideally with experience in the position but a young officer would be welcome. There are 9 crew members on board, so you’ll need to be a good team player for this pleasant, human-scale navigation.

Work schedule:
Rotation: 6 weeks/ 6 weeks (max)
