Chief Engineer 8000KW
As Chief Engineer 8000 kW, you will be responsible for the proper operation, upkeep and maintenance of the ship’s propulsion and auxiliary systems. In this role, your main tasks will be:
Ensuring the operation, running and maintenance of the main engines, generators and technical equipment on board.
Supervising and managing the engine room team (engine officers, electrical engineers, engine room ratings).
Planning and monitoring preventive and corrective maintenance operations.
Keeping engine room records and regulatory documents up to date.
Managing stocks of spare parts, lubricants and consumables.
Ensure compliance with safety, security and environmental standards (MARPOL, SOLAS, ISM Code).
Actively participate in safety and emergency drills.
Work with the Captain to ensure the safety and availability of the ship.
The position is based in Guadeloupe (971).
