Context & working environment

SUDILES is a New Caledonian shipping company providing services between the Mainland, the Loyalty Islands and the Isle of Pines. Its mission is to transport passengers and goods between the various islands using the Bético 2, a 57-metre-long vessel with a gross tonnage of 1,495 UMS, whose home port is Nouméa.

Duties & responsibilities

Direct navigation and ensure the safety of the vessel and passengers
Supervise the crew and coordinate operations on board
Ensure compliance with applicable maritime regulations
Responsible for the implementation of the ISM Code on board
Manage emergency situations and implement safety measures
Required profile

Significant experience in commanding passenger vessels
Proficiency in maritime safety regulations and coastal navigation
Sense of responsibility and leadership.
Experience with NGV/MTU/Kamewa/Sémaphore is also highly desirable.
Good communication skills in French
Certifications & regulatory compliance

Captain’s licence (minimum 3000)
Valid medical certificate
All licences up to date
