A major player in its field, STAPEM OFFSHORE provides marine and submarine technical support and maintenance for offshore oil and gas industry installations. STAPEM OFFSHORE has been operating mainly in Angola for over 30 years, as well as in Senegal and the Middle East, particularly Qatar.

To support diving & ROV or offshore bathymetry/surveying operations in Angola or Senegal, we are looking for a Captain 500 UMS m/f on one of the vessels in the STAPEM OFFSHORE fleet: 20m jet-powered vessel (Offshore Diving Support Catamaran equipped with Hamilton MECS systems) or 26m propeller-driven vessel Damen Fast Crew Supplier 2610 (engines: 2x Caterpillar C32 TTA B).

Holder of a Captain 500 UMS certificate
The following qualifications must be up to date:
– CFBS (Basic Safety Training Certificate)
– Medical II
– CAEERS (Certificate of Competence in the Operation of Lifeboats and Liferafts)
– CQALI (Advanced Firefighting Qualification Certificate)
– CGO (General Operator Certificate)
Seafarer’s Medical Certificate valid without restriction
You have excellent knowledge of safety and security management in accordance with international regulations (ISM, ISPS).
You have a strong HSE culture.

Previous experience as captain on a catamaran-type vessel equipped with jet or Damen propeller shafts would be highly appreciated.
Training/certification as a mechanic and/or experience as an on-board mechanic would be a plus.
Fluency in spoken and written English is essential.

The rotation schedule is 5 weeks of work followed by 5 weeks of rest.

Start date depends on the candidate’s availability.
