Oceanic Assistance is seeking a seafarer (Bridge Watch Officer or Cap500 qualification as a minimum) for a variety of assignments: on-board maintenance, on-call duty in port, maritime assistance, towing and scientific missions. The position is to be filled as soon as possible; the seafarer must live within 50 km of Lorient.

On board the support vessel, comfort will be limited, the weather often poor, the rolling motion unpleasant and the work demanding.

Desired skills: good seafaring sense, meticulous, handy, willing to participate in all aspects of life on board, excellent physical fitness, explosive energy, incisive, tenacious, comfortable with seamanship, competent in sailing, interested in optimising the vessel to reduce pollution, sensitive to environmental issues, able to cope with pressure and the unexpected, comfortable operating small boats.
