Join a dynamic team

Within the Risk, Safety, Reliability & Maintenance team, you will join a multidisciplinary group of engineers with an international outlook. You will contribute to the development of the company’s expertise and capabilities in line with market needs.

You will conduct studies on offshore units as well as on ships equipped with innovative and highly technical installations (such as alternative fuels or sails) at various stages of design (project phase, basic design, detailed engineering, operational phase, etc.).


Your main responsibilities

  • Conduct various types of qualitative risk studies in workshops with clients, such as:

    • Hazard Identification Analysis (HAZID)

    • Hazard and Operability Analysis (HAZOP)

    • Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA)

    • Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA)

    • Simultaneous Operations Analysis (SIMOPS)

  • Participate in reliability studies, such as:

    • Safety Integrity Level (SIL) studies

    • Reliability, Availability and Maintainability (RAM) studies

  • Contribute to modelling studies to evaluate the consequences of leaks (fire, explosion, gas dispersion, thermal radiation) as part of Fire and Explosion Risk Assessments (FERA) and Quantitative Risk Assessments (QRA) using dedicated software (PHAST, Safeti)

  • Participate in inspection and maintenance optimization studies, such as:

    • Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM)

    • Risk-Based Inspection (RBI)

  • Occasional travel to client sites (shipowners, shipyards) in France and abroad may be required.


Your strengths for success

Education

  • Merchant Navy Engineering Officer diploma, or

  • Engineering degree with specialization in risk management, mechanical engineering, reliability engineering, or industrial maintenance.

Professional experience

  • At least 7 years of experience onboard ships or offshore units.

Technical knowledge

  • Strong technical and operational knowledge of machinery and processes onboard ships (particularly related to LNG or alternative fuels) or offshore units.

Tools

  • Knowledge of maintenance management systems (CMMS/GMAO) or accident scenario modeling tools such as PHAST and Safeti is a plus.

Passion for technical topics

  • Strong interest in technical challenges and enjoyment of collaborative work in multidisciplinary teams.

Personal qualities

  • Organization, rigor, technical curiosity, team spirit, and autonomy.

Excellent communication skills

  • Strong writing and interpersonal abilities enabling effective collaboration with technical experts and clients.

Language skills

  • Ability to communicate fluently in English with clients, teams, and the international network.
