COMPANY OVERVIEW
Compagnie Maritime des Iles is based in Nouméa, New Caledonia. It operates two 68-metre LTCs, the M/V ISAN and the KARAKA, equipped for international coastal shipping, which sail weekly between the mainland and the Loyalty Islands. They transport bulk goods, containers, vehicles and/or Cl2 and Cl3 hydrocarbons.
The company is expanding with the opening of a route to Vanuatu.
The company is recruiting one engineer officer (M/F).
JOB DESCRIPTION
The engineer officer is responsible for operating the engines and maintaining the ship’s equipment under the direct authority of the chief engineer and the captain. He works closely with the deck department to carry out his duties.
Sailing schedule: Weekly coastal shipping requiring relocation to New Caledonia, embarkation according to the shipping company’s schedule (4/3 schedule).
The working language is French.
Permanent contract – ENIM 10 – Travel and accommodation expenses covered at the beginning of the stay.
REQUIRED PROFILE
OCQP/OCQN with up-to-date certification: CFSS, CFBS, CAEERS, CQALI and medical fitness.
Individuals with significant experience as an officer.
Rigour, autonomy and motivation are the qualities required for this position.
