Meeting at Tangram for 133 multi-skilled officer cadets !
François Lambert, Director General of ENSM, opened the meeting by emphasising the rare skills of the students, which they should cultivate and assert through experience at a particular time for maritime transport. Olivier Nivoix spoke frankly and very directly about CMA CGM’s values and its business lines, emphasising maritime transport and shipping routes. After watching a video presenting careers as officers and shore-based professions, a series of discussions took place between the students and the Vice-President, covering geopolitics, logistics chains, decarbonisation, artificial intelligence and the feminisation of professions. This was an opportunity for our students to gain a better understanding of the scale of this international company, whose link with ENSM is a real asset. Agility will remain one of the key words of this conference, which has inspired all these young people to play their part in maritime transport, daring to take to the sea, thanks to the rare skills they will be able to mobilise and strengthen.
Some students then visited the impressive TANGRAM CMA CGM training and innovation centre, a hub dedicated to training and innovation with a focus on sustainable transport and logistics.
ENSM would like to once again thank the CMA CGM Group for its hospitality and interest in future Merchant Navy officers!
