Assistant armament technician
Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will participate in the technical monitoring and maintenance of the fleet’s vessels and ensure their availability in collaboration with the ship’s engineer.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Participating in the general maintenance of vessels in collaboration with engineers and captains.
Investigating specific faults and implementing solutions.
Participating in technical shutdowns and periodic inspections.
Reporting faults to the shipowner and providing analysis reports when necessary.
Participating in the monitoring and maintenance of spare parts stocks, particularly critical parts for the entire fleet.
Participate in ensuring the ship’s regulatory compliance (maritime affairs and BV, monitoring, preparation and participation in visits by institutions, etc.)
Participate in improving preventive maintenance
Participate in improving purchasing management and the use of CMMS

The position:
Based in Dieppe on a two-week rotation with travel required, the position is available immediately depending on availability.
The position requires:
A minimum 750kW engine licence
Good command of English (spoken and written)
Analytical and diagnostic skills
Ability to report
Use of IT and office tools
Skills in metalwork and welding would be an advantage.
