Chief Engineer on Persévérance
Persévérance, Jean-Louis Etienne’s polar expedition schooner, is looking for a chief engineer.
Required profile:
Merchant navy officer (M/F) with a minimum CM3000KW certificate;
Experience as a second officer or chief engineer desirable;
Independent officer who is comfortable with passengers;
Knowledge of sailing and experience of navigation in polar regions if possible;
C1D visa required.
Fixed-term contract under French law, ENIM, on a boat registered with the RIF;
Possibility of permanent contract.
Embarkation in early October 2025, for a period of 2 months, rotations in the Pacific in the service of science.
