CHIEF MECHANIC

A French oil tanker owner on a human scale, our fleet is constantly evolving, with an average of 10 tankers/chemical tankers (from 8,000T to 50,000T).
Always on the lookout for innovation and concerned about our ecological footprint, we were a pioneer in fitting ROTOR masts (Norsepower) on one of our vessels, and over the next 2 years will be integrating new vessels with hybrid propulsion and Dual Fuel Methanol.
As part of this drive to modernise our fleet, we are recruiting Chief Engineers.
Job description:
Reporting to the Commanding Officer, you will have the following responsibilities:

– Driving the engine
– Supervision of the engine team
– Organising and monitoring the maintenance and upkeep of all the ship’s installations and equipment in accordance with the Company’s computer-assisted maintenance management system (CMMS)
– Ensuring that operations comply with current regulations (ISM, MARPOL, SOLAS, etc.)
– Ensuring safety and monitoring best practice during maintenance operations by crew members and external contractors
– Keeping logbooks and technical reports up to date
– Train and supervise crew members to develop their technical skills.

Profile required:
– A Chief Engineer certificate (STCW III/2) unlimited.
– Training qualification for Base tankers and chemical tankers

Little extras :
– Experience on oil tankers and/or chemical tankers is an asset
– Advanced training qualifications for oil tankers and/or chemical tankers.
– Basic IGF qualification
– Fluency in English
