Join our team! We are looking for a Systems Specialist Expert for our ST Herblain site.
Join a dynamic team: Within the Plans Approval Office for the France zone, you will join a dynamic team of experts in charge of examining Machine, Electrical and Fire Safety plans.
Your role will be to review the designs of various types of ships under construction, in France or abroad, in compliance with the regulations in force (class or statutory regulations).
These design reviews include, among others, the examination of the following elements:
– Propulsion systems and associated circuits
– Piping, networks and drainage systems
– On-board equipment: pressure equipment, steering gear, etc.
Your main tasks :
Carrying out technical studies in your field and providing assistance to the Bureau Veritas network for ships throughout their life.
Manage all the components required for the successful completion of your examinations: technical and contractual follow-up, guaranteeing the quality of examinations and meeting deadlines.
The shipbuilding industry is undergoing a major technological transition, giving rise to numerous projects that are more environmentally friendly, such as propulsion systems based on wind, hydrogen or electricity.
Bureau Veritas is actively participating in this development, and you will have the opportunity to play a key role in these innovations.
Your assets for success:
Training and experience: With a degree in shipbuilding or naval engineering, or preferably a former naval officer in the Merchant Navy or French Navy, you will have knowledge of propulsion systems, mechanical engineering and/or energy engineering.
You have a good command of IT tools and are good at writing and dealing with people.
Language skills: Your command of English will enable you to communicate effectively with our customers, our teams and our international network.
Personal qualities: You are rigorous, a strong team player, self-reliant and able to analyse and summarise.
