The professional training program for electrical engineering officers takes place at the ENSM campus in Saint-Malo, from October 5, 2026, to June 26, 2027.
The ETO holds one of the most important positions in the technical hierarchy on board a ship. Reporting to the chief engineer on most ships, this role has become increasingly important on board. Indeed, as technology advances, more and more automation and electronic systems are replacing so-called conventional systems.

▪️Duration of specialized training courses: 236 hours
▪️From October 5, 2026, to June 26, 2027.
▪️€6,000 + additional fees for specialized training courses
▪️Selection: Based on academic qualifications for the ETO program for applicants holding a minimum two-year post-secondary degree in automation, electrical engineering, electronics, computer science, or networking
