Since 2016, ENSM has offered a Maritime Engineering degree program at its Nantes campus to address the constant changes in the maritime sector.

Students learn to develop innovative and sustainable solutions to address the many challenges of offshore energy production, such as the development of future offshore wind farms, the decarbonization of maritime transport, and sail propulsion.
A look back at 10 years of the Marine Engineering program with profiles of alumni.

Meet Stella, currently a project manager at CMA CGM and a 2021 graduate of the Maritime Engineering program!

“The Marine Engineering program at ENSM gave me a deep understanding of the maritime sector. This knowledge now enables me to develop projects aimed at optimizing and improving maritime operations.

Starting with my final-year internship, I focused my career on roles that bridge the maritime sector and new technologies: I first worked in data analysis for offshore service vessels, before moving into project management and digital products dedicated to the maritime sector.
Currently, I hold the position of Project Manager at CMA CGM, where I oversee a project aimed at automating container ship loading plans.

I enrolled at ENSM the year the Maritime Engineering program became accessible through the Banque PT entrance exam.

After two years of preparatory classes, my goal was to attend a public engineering school and specialize in a technical field related to the ecological transition.

In 2018, there were six of us from the first cohort coming from PTSI/PT prep. Today, we’ve all had a very strong start to our careers. The maritime sector offers plenty of opportunities, thanks to the diversity of shipping companies and the variety of possible roles in this sector.”
