CERES is recruiting a senior hydrographer (M/F) on a full-time permanent contract in Montfarville (Manche).

As part of its expansion, CERES is strengthening its Hydrography division. You will be involved in all operations, from their preparation and data acquisition at sea through to data processing, interpretation and the production of deliverables.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Take part in a variety of operations in France and internationally;
• Work in the field as well as on data processing and interpretation;
• Operate the latest hydrographic and geophysical equipment;
• Contribute to bathymetry projects, wreck searches, the detection of objects and unexploded ordnance (UXO), port works and seabed surveys.

DESIRED PROFILE
• At least three years’ experience in offshore, nearshore or coastal hydrographic surveys;
• Qualifications in hydrography, oceanography or an equivalent field;
• Good command of operations in shallow waters and coastal environments;
• Practical experience with side-scan sonar, multibeam echo sounders, magnetometers, sediment profilers, GNSS RTK systems, inertial navigation systems and USBL systems;
• Excellent command of French and English, both written and spoken.
