RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your role: a key position at the heart of customer relations and projects.
Working in tandem with the Field Technical Sales Representative, you will report to the Sales Department and act as the main point of contact for construction sites and builders in the professional market (aftermarket and new-build).
You will be involved at a very early stage of projects and act as a technical and commercial coordinator, working closely with internal teams (Product Managers, Procurement, Supply).
Your mission is to promote KENT’s products to our marine sector clients, with a view to helping to grow turnover and sales margins.
Your objectives:
To grow the turnover and profit margin of your portfolio
To provide the best technical solution for every customer need
To coordinate projects with teams from other departments (Purchasing and Product Managers)
To actively contribute to the strategic growth of the Professional Marine segment
In this role, your day-to-day responsibilities are as follows:
Customer relations & business development
Act as the in-house point of contact for shipyards and shipbuilders
Analyse technical requirements, understand project constraints and propose the most suitable solutions
Play an active role in developing the client portfolio alongside the field sales representative
Identify and monitor project opportunities (new builds, retrofits, technical upgrades)
Organise and lead remote client meetings (alone or with product managers)
Meet with key clients within your remit
Technical Advice & Pre-sales
Provide high-level technical advice: product selection, equivalents, substitutions, new product launches
Carry out equipment layout and sizing studies
Contribute to the development and evolution of the product range
Help promote KENT solutions in the market
Sales Management & Internal Coordination
Oversee the administrative processing of orders, from order taking through to delivery
Ensure compliance with commercial terms: prices, lead times, payments
Coordinate communication with internal teams (purchasing, product managers, logistics)
Attend trade fairs in line with current market trends
REQUIRED TECHNICAL AND PROFESSIONAL SKILLS:
Strong customer service ethos and excellent communication and listening skills
Well-developed commercial acumen and a results-oriented approach
Organisational skills, attention to detail, autonomy and analytical thinking
Proficiency in IT tools and an ERP system
Knowledge of CAD tools (Rhino) would be an advantage
DESIRED PROFILE:
Higher technical and commercial qualification (2 to 5 years of higher education)
Good knowledge of the commercial marine sector
Proven experience or a strong interest in an in-house technical sales role
Position based in Saint-Herblain (44)
