Reporting to the Fleet Director, you will oversee the Quality, Safety and Environment (QSE) policy, security and MLC compliance. You will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and contribute to the company’s performance and safety culture, working in conjunction with the DPA and the sea and shore-based teams.

Your main responsibilities

Monitor maritime regulatory developments (flags, classification societies, conventions) and disseminate this information
Ensure the compliance of vessels and operations (audits, certificates, inspections)
Oversee document management (ISM, ISPS, MLC, vessel plans)
Implementing and improving the safety management system
Monitoring non-conformities, audits and accidents
Supervising the QSE Coordinator
Acting as CSO, standing in for the DPA and participating in crisis management

The ideal candidate

Proven experience in QSE within the maritime sector
Willingness to travel for short periods on board vessels
Fluent in English, including technical English
Experience working ‘on board’ is a real asset
Proficiency in ISM, ISPS and MLC standards
Leadership, rigour, analytical skills and a practical approach
Ability to work across land and sea operations

The gross annual salary of 45–50 KE includes a 13th and 14th month’s salary
