EXPERIENCED MASTER – OIL / CHEMICAL TANKER
About SOCATRA
As the only French oil tanker operator, SOCATRA is currently expanding, with a fleet renewal and growth plan reaching 17 oil/chemical tankers (from 8,000 to 50,000 DWT) by 2027.
A family-owned shipping company on a human scale, committed to innovation and environmental responsibility, SOCATRA has been a pioneer in wind-assisted propulsion with the installation of rotor sails on Alcyone, a supply vessel operating in Polynesia. The company has also made nearly 50% of its fleet greener through the delivery of new vessels powered by hybrid and dual fuel/methanol propulsion systems.
As part of this fleet modernization and expansion, we are looking for experienced Masters with a validated tanker matrix on oil/chemical tankers.
Profile Required
- Proven experience as Master with a validated matrix on oil/chemical tankers
- Basic training certificate for oil and chemical tankers
- Advanced training certificate for oil tankers
- Advanced training certificate for chemical tankers
- Good command of spoken and written English
Additional Assets
- Basic IGF training certificate
- Advanced IGF training certificate
Working Conditions
- Permanent contract (CDI) under the ENIM scheme (Category 18–19)
- Deep-sea / tramp shipping operations
- 13th month salary, employee savings plan (PEE) with employer contribution
