A former ENSM student wins the Transat Jacques Vabre

With its departure in Le Havre on 7th November, Franck Cammas and Charles Caudrelier (a former student of the ENSM) set off in the Transat Jacques Vabre as great favourites. A wise prediction, as after 16 days, 1 hour and 49 minutes the Cammas-Caudrelier tandem arrived this Tuesday as the winner of the Ultim category in Fort de France in Martinique.

A new victory in the list of wins

After covering 7,500 nm (13,890 km) as the lead almost from the north-western tip of Spain, the maxi-trimaran Edmond de Rothschild thus marks the 4th successive victory for the duo since 2019. Fastnet 2019 and 2021, Brest Atlantiques 2020, with the exception of the Armen Race, the teammates have won almost everything and are scoring their first victory in a major race, among renowned mounts and crews.

Congratulations again to Charles Caudrelier, an ENSM student, and his teammate Franck Cammas!
