  • Documentation: surveys and how to use tables as available for the ship’s captain
  • Brief description of a ship
  • Hull stresses

How to determine ship displacement with draft readings

  • Determine Drafts, correction for drafts
  • Reading scales correction
  • Correction for hogging or sagging
  • Exercises

Calculation for displacement and center of gravity position from tables with non zero trim

  • When draft differences are important
  • Calculation of global weight loaded or unloaded
  • Uncertainty wrt results, when there are uncertainties on draft and water density
