biographie

Jonas Thiaucourt graduated as a Merchant Navy Officer Student in 2014. In 2016, he completed a master’s degree in Hydrodynamics, Energy and Propulsion (option Hydrodynamics, Ocean Engineering) at the Ecole Centrale de Nantes.

In 2019, he defended a doctoral thesis co-supervised by the Ecole Centrale de Nantes and The French Maritime Academy entitled: “Methods and models for the feasibility study of a liquefied natural gas fuel system on board ships”.

At the end of his doctorate, he joined The French Maritime Academy, assigned to the position of research professor at the Nantes site.

He is attached to the Laboratory of Research in Hydrodynamics, Energy and Atmospheric Environment (LHEEA) of the Ecole Centrale de Nantes for its research activity.

He is in charge of the “Antartica” project for The French Maritime Academy.
