biographie
In 2006, he completed a specialization course in Naval Architecture and Offshore Engineering at ENSTA Bretagne and specialized in ship stability.
In 2013, he published, with Jean-Marc Laurens, a research professor at ENSTA Bretagne, a book dedicated to ship stability (Ellipses, Technosup collection).
In 2017, he defended a doctoral thesis conducted at the Naval School in collaboration with ENSTA Bretagne entitled “Study and implementation of second generation criteria in a stability code”.
François Grinnaert is the author of the “Calcoque” software, a stability and naval architecture software for educational purposes, embedded in several warships and used in schools for teaching (tutorials, practical work, projects) and research.
In September 2017, François Grinnaert joined the ENSM, which was assigned as a research professor at the Le Havre site.
